After contact has been made with us, we will generally organise a meeting with you preferably on site, to introduce ourselves and get a feel of the project. Before this initial meeting we would request any documentation you have regarding the project i.e plans, approvals, finishes so we can review prior and come prepared. If you are not yet at this stage and require assistance in planning we offer a bespoke consulting and design service.

Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020.

The Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020, which came into effect on 1 July 2021, introduced a new regulatory framework to enhance accountability, transparency, and quality in the construction of Class 2 buildings. This legislation establishes stricter compliance requirements for designers, engineers, and builders, ensuring that all work meets the highest industry standards.

As a Registered Building Practitioner under the Act, Engage Construction is fully compliant with these new regulations. Insurances.

Home Building Compensation Fund (HBCF) All residential projects over $20,000 require Home Owners Warranty Insurance, issued by icare NSW, by the building company undertaking the work. The home building compensation (HBC) scheme provides a safety net for homeowners in the event of a licensed builder’s or contractor’s insolvency, death, disappearance or suspension.
